🎤 We’re pleased to share that José Ferreira from UNINOVA will represent 3D-CIRCULAR at Professionals of the Future III – “Human-centric (Re)manufacturing in the Era of AI”. The event takes place on 20 October 2026 at Eurostars Lisboa Parque das Nações, Lisbon, Portugal.

Organised by the European Welding Federation (EWF), the event is now in its third edition and is one of EWF’s flagship sectoral events. It brings together stakeholders from education, training, industry, research and technology to discuss a key question: how can manufacturing stay human-centred as artificial intelligence, digitalisation and circular practices reshape the sector?

In the Project Pitch Showcase, José will give a 5–10 minute presentation covering:

• The main objectives of 3D-CIRCULAR
• The project’s core activities
• The results achieved so far

3D-CIRCULAR is a pan-European initiative that supports the EU’s green and digital transition by closing the skills gap. Together with academic, industry and research partners, we are developing next-generation Master’s and doctoral programmes, as well as certification pathways, that combine deep-tech innovation with circular economy principles.

This matches the event’s focus closely: new technologies only create value when professionals have the skills, training and qualifications to use them and to shape industrial change.
