3D-CIRCULAR at the UNESCO Chair Conference 2026

We are happy to share the successful completion of the International UNESCO Chair Conference 2026, “International Cooperation in Higher Education and TVET – Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice of SDGs,” held at TU Dortmund University, Germany, from 30 September to 2 October 2026.

As part of the programme, 3D-CIRCULAR co-organised a workshop on Digital Literacy and Circular Economy. It was led by Prof. Christos Kalloniatis of the University of the Aegean, together with Alexandra Bounia and Meike Schmidt-Gleim.

🎓 Prof. Kalloniatis also delivered one of the conference’s three closing keynotes, exploring the connection between the digital circular economy and cultural heritage.

🤝 The conference brought valuable contacts, fresh ideas and new opportunities for collaboration. A warm thank you to Prof. Dr. Thomas Schröder and the UNESCO Chair on TVET, 3D-CIRCULAR and Competence Development for the Future of Work at TU Dortmund University for organising the conference and inviting us to participate.
